Any UGA or Tech fans out there?

Reposting this for those of you who missed it!  We’ve still got plenty of tickets left!

We made it to Vermont!  Only two days until we ride 100 miles!  I can’t believe how quickly the time has gone by.  While we have met our required fundraising goal, we haven’t raised as much money as we wanted, so we have one last fundraiser…..the amazing quilt raffle.   Once again, Lori Lewis has outdone herself.  This raffle is different from the raffle last year, in that there are 2 quilts and the winner will get to pick the quilt of their choosing.  The best part – one quilt is a UGA quilt, and the other is a Georgia Tech quilt.  The process will work like it did last year, but in case you have forgotten, here’s how it will work….

Tickets will be $5.00 each or 5 tickets for $20.00

1.  Click on the donate link to the left of your page

2.  Search for boden and select either Trey or I to donate to or search Miner and donate to Joshua Miner (He’s an awesome friend of ours who is riding and can use some help meeting his fundraising goal)

3.  When you get to the donation page in the section”message to rider” indicate that you are donating for raffle tickets.

4.  Make sure that the box is checked that says “share my e-mail with the rider” that way I know how to contact you if you win!

5.  I will then enter your name on the number of tickets that you purchased.

6.  Tell all of your friends about it!

7.  The drawing will take place on August 29th

So I know that you are dying to see the awesome quilts, so here are some pics…

11 days away

First of all, I apologize for being an awful blogger this go round…if any of you are even still reading this.  I truly apologize. I have been lazy and just haven’t made it a priority.  With that said, we leave for our 2nd Ride for the cure in 11 days.  I can’t believe it.  Time truly seems ot be flying by.  Anyway, we have almost met our fundraising goal, we have managed to train at least a little, and we booked our flights.  I’m excited, yet nervous at the same time.  We will have one more fundraiser coming up in the next week or so (hopefully).  I’ll be posting some pictures of some quilts that we will be raffling off, so keep your eyes open!

We really need your help!

Hey guys!  I’ve been really bad about updating the blog this year…sorry!  Anyway, we are 45 days our from our ride and we are about $4,000 away from our goal….yikes!  We really need your help!  If you have friends and family who would be interested  in supporting our cause, please pass our blog on to them!

90 days away!

I got an e-mail yesterday from JDRF reminding me that our ride is 90 days away!  Instantly I thought “90 days!  What?  We haven’t even started fundraising or training!  Yikes!”  So with that said I figured that I should get back on the blogging!  We do have some fundraisers coming up that we would love for you to be a part of!

May 20-21 – We will be having our annual treasure sale!  (just a better way to say yard sale) If you have any old things that you would like for us to take off of your hands, we would love to do so!

June 11 – I’ve got an awesome friend who has given up her Saturday to do a photo shoot fundraiser.  More details to come soon, but go ahead and put it on your calendar and let me know if you are interested in having you/your families pictures made!

We’re doing it again!

It’s official!  Trey and I have signed up for the 2011 Ride to Cure.  We’ll be riding 100 miles in Vermont at the end of July!  If you’ve got any good fundraising ideas…throw them our way!  Stay tuned for more posts!  Just wanted to let you guys know we signed up!
